Loren Compton

Loren Compton, 51 of Merrifield died at his home on Sunday, August 12, 2012. Services for Loren will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 1:15PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Interment is at Mission Cemetery in Crosby, MN.

Loren was born on October 14, 1960 in Brainerd, MN to Ernest and Dolores (Johnston) Compton. He was raised and Merrifield and graduated from Crosby High School. Loren worked construction in the Merrifield area except for a short time in Minneapolis, MN. Loren married Christine Linke in Merrifield on June 26, 1982. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and his dog. He loved to spend time playing cards with his buddies. He will be remembered most for the love of his family and the farm.

Loren is survived by his wife, Chris; children, Jeremy (friend, Katrina McFatrich), Scott, and Michael; grandchildren, Sequoia Dee and Shea Loren-Ernest; sisters, Carol Riley and Beverly Ringold; and other brothers, sisters, sister- in -laws, and many nieces and nephews; and special friend brother Dave Beber and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joanne Blomlie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.
