Londale Musolf, age 97, of Fifty Lakes, MN, died on Thursday, November 7, at Good Samaritan Bethany in Brainerd. He was born on August 1, 1927, in Crosby, MN, to Walter and Laura (Buchite) Musolf.
Lon was the president of Lon Musolf Flooring Company and Lon Musolf Distributing. He was a founding member of the National Wood Flooring Association, an instructor in the association’s school, and was inducted into the National Wood Flooring Hall of Fame in 2001. Lon loved his craft but loved people more. His friends and family were blessed with his generosity, curiosity, integrity, and warmth. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Musolf Wineman (Arthur Wineman), of St. Paul, MN, and Lynn (John) Ostlund of Crosslake, MN; 5 grandchildren, TJ (Sarah) Moran, Michael (Katie) Wineman, Sarah Wineman, Lucy Merila, and Max (Monica) Merila; and 3 great-grandchildren, Sammy, Johnny, and Mary Wineman.
Preceding him in death are Lon’s parents; wife, Dona, in 2015; 2 brothers, Renny and Leonard Musolf; and 2 sisters, Loveabel Musolf and Inez Gran.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 5-7 PM at Brenny-Kline Funeral Home in Pine River. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, at 3 PM at Mission of the Cross Lutheran Church in Crosslake, MN, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Swanburg Cemetery in Manhattan Beach, MN. Lon requested that memorials be given to local charities of one’s choice. Flowers may also be sent to Brenny-Kline Funeral Home in Pine River.
