Lois Young

Lois Mae Young, age 79, of Pine River, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013. She was born on May 24, 1934, to LeRoy and Hazel (Smith) Gulbranson in Sacred Heart, MN. Lois professed at Hector Convention in 1945 at age 11, and was baptized at the Hector Convention in 1947 at age 13. On October 21, 1950, she married Clarence "Clifford" Young of Marietta, MN. To this union five sons and one daughter were born. They moved to Backus in 1979 and Lois moved to the Good Samaritan Society, Pine River, in April of 2003.

Lois is survived by her children: Steve (Carol) Young of Sioux Falls, SD, Harlan (Pat) Young of Backus, Debbie (Russell) Behm of Thorp, WI, Ted (Donna) Young of Pequot Lakes, Danny Young of Pequot Lakes, Mark (Susan) Young of Lake Shore; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; brothers: Floyd (Joyce) Gulbranson of Belgrade, Marvin (Glenyce) Gulbranson of Spicer; sisters: Deloris (Milo) Ruhl of Backus, Doris (Jim) Howard of New London; and brother-in-law, Clinton (Beverly) Young of Arlington, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; her parents; and brothers, Glen and Melvin.

Services will be 11 AM on Wednesday, August 28, at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
