Lois Thomas

Lois Thomas, 76, of Brainerd, formerly of Crosslake, died Wednesday, January 21, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Lois was born June 10, 1927 in Minneapolis to Oscar and Bessie (Ward) Johnson. She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Patrick Henry High School. On November 6, 1948 she was united in marriage to Donald Thomas. She was a homemaker and worked at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale for several years. Following her retirement they moved to Crosslake. She and Donald moved to Bethany Good Samaritan Apartments in September 2003. She was a member of Crosslake Lutheran Church and Jenkins VFW Auxiliary. Lois enjoyed sewing, crafts and cooking.
Lois is survived by Donald, her husband of 55 years; daughter Kathleen (Bruce) Berglin of Crosslake; 2 sons, James (Rebecca) Thomas of Sauk Center, Richard (Sandra) Thomas of Maple Grove; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Her parents and a daughter Katherine preceded her in death.

Services will be Saturday at 2 pm at Crosslake Lutheran Church with Reverend Mark Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake.
