Lois Hall Schroeder, 90, formerly of Staples, Minnesota died on Thursday, November 7, 2013 Emmanuel Home in Litchfield, Minnesota.
Services for Lois will be held Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Staples Church of Christ with visitation at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Evergreen Hills Cemetery in Staples.

Lois Hall Schroeder was born in Staples, Minnesota on February 11, 1923 to Tom and Edith Hall. She was baptized in the Staples Church of Christ and was a member all of her life. Lois began playing the piano for church services when she was fourteen because she said there was no one else to do it. She played for church for 70 years. Lois married Charles (Bud) Schroeder on January 20, 1943 in El Paso, Texas before he left for the War. Together they lived in Staples and raised their two children. Seven years ago, Lois moved to Litchfield to be near her daughter. During her stay at Gloria Dei and Emmanuel Nursing home, she entertained the residents with her piano playing. Lois enjoyed baking cookies and making noodles, entertaining, camping with Bud and spending time with her grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her two children, Linda (Rick) Johnson of Litchfield, Minnesota and Charles (Patty) Schroeder of Little Falls, Minnesota. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Ben (Nancy) Johnson of Orono, Janine (Thom) Paxson of St. Cloud, Amy (Jim) Olafson of Eagan, Josh (Dayna) Johnson of Minnetrista, Laura (Paul) Doege of Chaska; 10 great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Carol Hulett and Lois Hoveland.

Her husband, Bud, of 43 years, her parents, Thomas and Edith Hall, and her brother and sister-in-law, Lowell and Donna Hall, preceded her in death.
