Lois Resch, 95, of Cambridge, MN, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Grace Point Commons in Cambridge. Services for Lois will be at 11:30AM, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Church of Christ in Staples, with Pastor Barry Klein officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Motley Public Cemetery.
Lois Viola Williams was born June 26, 1921 in Fawn Lake Township, daughter of Albert and Susanna (Senti) Williams. She grew up in Motley and graduated from Motley High School in 1939. Lois completed Normal Training School and taught in a country school in Osakis, MN. On June 6, 1942, she was united in marriage to Clarence Resch in Pequot Lakes, MN. To this union six children were born. Lois and Clarence were able to share 65 years of marriage together. They farmed until 2002. After selling the farm, they moved to Isanti, MN. Lois sold the Isanti home after Clarence passed away. She lived in Assisted Living in Cambridge for the remainder of her life.
Lois is mourned in passing by her family; Gary (Arlene) Resch of St. Cloud, Jack (Shirley) Resch of Motley, Cheryl (John) Anderson of Cambridge, Linda (Lowell) Blom of Monticello, Bonita (John) Tidgwell of North Branch, Richard (Linda) Resch of Barnum; 12 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and sister, Edna Hayes of Motley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; parents, Albert and Susanna; brother, Roy; sister, Ada; and two great grandchildren. Memorials are preferred to Presbyterian Homes Hospice or International Bible Givers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
