Lois Metzler

Lois A Metzler, age 67, of Staples, died early Thursday morning, at Lakewood Health System Hospital. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Staples with Father Peter Kirchner officiating. Visit will be Monday evening from 5-7 at the Brenny Funeral Home of Staples, with parish prayers at 6:45. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples.
Lois A. Metzler was born on February 15, 1940 in Staples to Percy and Lucy (Schafer) Stevens. She was united in marriage to Paul D. Metzler on December 27, 1961 in Staples, MN. She was employed in and around the Staples area and at Tri-dent until the spring of 2007. Lois enjoyed her flower gardening, bird watching, reading and visits from her family.

She is survived by he husband, Paul; three children, Jana (Wayne) Steinkraus, Michael (Fran) Metzler, Steve (Lisa) Metzler; grandchildren, Angie Travis, Breanna Fearing, Brittney, and Shawn Steinkraus, Mary, Paul and Margaret Metzler, Joshua Jay, Patrick and Courtney Metzler; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
