Lois Hambrock

Lois Frieda Hambrock, 98, of Brainerd, died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Good Samaritan Village - Woodland Campus. Memorial Services for Lois are scheduled for 1:30 PM, Friday, July 1, 2016 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Interment with Military Honors will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Lois was born March 9, 1918, in Stratford, WI, the daughter of Ernest and Frieda (Klemme) Allington. After graduating high school, Lois attended college and graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with Nursing Degree before accepting a commission in the US Navy. She served her country during WWII as a Navy Nurse. She was united in marriage to John W. Hambrock and was a nurse for many years during her life. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, flower gardening, needlework and enjoyed bird-watching.

She will be missed by her children, Michael (Betty Lou) Hambrock, of Duluth and Lois Lynne Johnsrud, of Minneapolis; son-in-law, Terry (Barbara) Gotziaman, of Roseau; grandchildren, Chris (Debbie) Gotziaman, Teresa (Corry) Lund, Cathy (Chris) Carlson, Zack (Karen) Johnsrud, and Michelle (Brent) Consie; great-grandchildren, Sophie Consie, Theo Lund, Brody Lund, Gus Lund, Matthew Gotziaman, Andrew Gotziaman, Anna Gotziaman, Hudson Carlson, Hensley Carlson, and Emerson Johnsrud; sister, Bette (Glenn) Knorr; brother, William Allington; and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents; daughter, Connie Gotziaman; brothers, Donovan and Kenneth Allington; sister-in-law, Lyla Allington; and nephew, Steve Knorr.
