Lloyt Stewart

Lloyt George Stewart, age 77, of Nisswa, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2009 at St. Cloud. He was born July 29, 1931 in Britton, SD to Myrven and Jettie (Stocking) Stewart. He attended school at Britton, SD and Deer Creek, MN. George moved to the Twin Cities where he met and married Betty Golberg in 1956. They made their home in Maple Grove where they raised their daughter Jody. In 1986, Betty passed away and in 2003, he moved to Nisswa to live with his daughter and family. He and their dog, Buddy, took care of each other.

George is survived by his daughter, Jody (Tom) Hedtke and granddaughter, Nicci of Nisswa; sister, Frances Peterson of South Dakota; brothers, Glenn (Audrey) of Minnesota and "Jack" and Andrew (Nonie) both of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sisters, Vivian, Mabel and Mae.
Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2009 at Grace United Methodist Church in Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
