Lloyd Larson, age 58, of Cushing, MN, died Friday, October 5, 2001, at his home. Services are scheduled for Monday, October 8th, at 2:00 PM, at St. Peter?s Lutheran Church in Randall, MN. Friends may call on Sunday evening, from 4 to 7 PM, at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veteran?s Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall.
Lloyd Harry Larson was born on April 28, 1943, in Bertha, MN to Harry and Flora (Sarff) Larson. He grew up and attended school in Clarissa, graduating from Clarissa High School. He went on to attend the Heavy Equipment Program at the Staples Vocational School. In 1961, He entered the National Guard of Minnesota. Lloyd worked road construction for a few years few going to work at Camp Ripley in 1965. On September 23, 1967, Lloyd was united in marriage to Sharon Mueller at St. Peter?s Lutheran Church in Randall. Lloyd retired from Camp Ripley in 1995. He was a member of St. Peter?s Lutheran Church, Randall-Cushing Lions Club and the Flensburg American Legion Post #136. Lloyd enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Gail (Greg) Holtz of Little Falls; son, Michael (Christina) Larson of Randall; his mother, Flora Larson of Little Falls; 5 grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kirsten, Kyle, Shawn and Damien; a sister, Alice Skalsky of Clarissa. His father preceded him in death.
