Linda Prettyman

Linda Marie Prettyman passed away peacefully at her home in Brainerd, MN on September 19, 2023 at the age of 73. Linda was born to Leonard and Vera Bertram in Brainerd on September 9, 1950. She married her high school sweetheart, Terry Prettyman on July 19, 1969. Linda was a stay at home mom to John, Laura, Carla and Sara.

Linda had many crafty hobbies and she enjoyed embroidery, crochet and attending quilt shows. She loved to make bookmarks for the Brainerd Public Library, going to garage sales and watching her garden grow. Consider yourself lucky if you have received any of her handmade crafts over the years. Linda exchanged letters for several years with her special pen-friend, Sofia Hanson.

Linda is survived by her son John, grandson Aiden and granddaughter Adison, daughter Carla (Bret) and grandson Nolan, and daughter Sara. Sister Rita (Jim) Carney and brother Bruce (Bonnie) Bertram, nephews Shane (Kaitlynn) Bertram and Tyler (Brittany) Bertram, five great nephews and one great niece, and brother in law Larry Prettyman.

Preceding Linda’s death are her parents, her loving husband Terry (2016) and her beautiful daughter Laura (2013)

Please join us for a celebration of Linda’s life on Thursday, September 28 2023 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel at 1 o’clock with service to follow at 2 o’clock. Please bring a memory to share.
