Linda Mattson

Linda L. Mattson, 65, of Brainerd, died at her home Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Private family services will be held.

Linda was born October 12, 1949, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of George and Ruby Ojala. She graduated from Robbinsdale High School before attending technical school where she received her X-ray Technician certification. In 1969, she married Craig Mattson. They later divorced. She worked as an X-Ray Technician. She was a member and very involved at New Life Baptist Church in Woodbury. She liked to camp and go fishing. She also spent time sewing and playing the piano. Linda loved her family and she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She will be missed by her children, Heather (Sam) Muntean, of Grand Marais, Gretchen Mattson, of White Bear Lake, and Ben (Kyla) Mattson, of Rockford; grandchildren, Hannah, Kate, Abby, Alexa, Hailey, Ezra, Mason, Cara, and Maxwell; her significant other, Mark Thompson; and her brother, Larry Ojala. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carole.
