Lillian Thompson, 102, formerly of Tamarack, MN, passed away peacefully at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd, MN on March 26, 2009. Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Brenny Funeral Chapel, 7348 Excelsior Road, Baxter MN. Interment will be at Round Lake Cemetery, near McGregor, MN.
Lillian Evelyn Thompson was born on March 7, 1907 in Cotton Wood County, MN, to Edgar and Sadie (Sunderman) Raveill. She was united in marriage to Reuben Thompson on March 8, 1934 in Tamarack. Reuben and Lillian went on to enjoy 70 years of marriage. They were true pioneers in the fact that they were able to live off the land by managing their farm where they raised large gardens and a prize herd of Golden Gernsey cows.
She is survived by her; daughter Patricia (James) Fancher of Edmonds, WA; grandchildren David (Jeanne) Fancher of Stanwood, WA, Deborah (Michael) Lara of Arlington, WA, Donna (Issam) Haj of Bremerton, WA, and Deanne (Shaun) McMurray of Sequim, WA; great-grandchildren Nicholus and Jacob Lara, Joseph and George Haj, Natalie, Michael, Theodore, and Seth McMurray; and sister Elayne Hartzberg of McGregor, MN. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben; and siblings, Maynard Raviell, Kathleen Abernethy, Ruth Thompson, and Wayne Raviell.
