Lillian Hohlen

Lillian Emma Hohlen (Zwack), age 82, of Pine River, formerly Longville and Elk River, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 21, 1925 in Hubbard, Saskatchewan. She has resided at Norway Brook Apartments in Pine River since December 1, 1994.
Lillian lived a wonderfully full life. She was active in many things, and served on several committees and boards. She was a lifetime member of the Legion and VFW. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and everyone's special friend.
She is survived by son, Dennis Hohlen (Susanne) of Brainerd; daughter, Judy Arvidson (Jay) of Pine River; son, Lee Hohlen (Rita) of Elk River; grandchildren: Pam Mills (Dennis) of Pine River, Jennifer Nangle (Chad) of Breezy Point, Michael Arvidson of Breezy Point, Christopher Hohlen of Dallas, TX, Corrina Hohlen of Colorado Springs, CO, Tonya Hipsag (Mark) of Elk River, Michelle Gulbranson of Elk River; seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jacob Zwack; mother, Pearl Brownlee; brothers, Maurice and Walter; and great grandchild, Jacob Hipsag.
Services will be 1 PM on Tuesday, September 9 at First Lutheran Church, Pine River, with Pastor Bonnie Lomen officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
