Lila Lubke

Lila Lubke, 97, of Staples, MN died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Annandale Care Center in Annandale, MN. Funeral services for Lila will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Staples with Pastor Robin Collins and Pastor Richard Pape officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Lila was born January 29, 1918 in Lanesburgh, MN to August and Mary (Mueller) Krohn. Lila met and married Art Lubke on July 25, 1938.
Lila worked at the Mary Rondorf Home in Staples as a nurse's aide, she also worked for Huff Funeral Home and Huff Furniture Store. For many years, they rented their home out to Vocational students. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, reading her Bible, and loved teaching children. Lila took care of Art for many years before he passed away.

Lila is survived by her children; Roger (Elise) Lubke of Excelsior, MN, Dennis (Vicki) Lubke of Anoka, MN, Mary (Ray) Wilson of Clearwater, MN; brother, Oliver Krohn of Inver Grove Heights, MN; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sister in laws and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Art; brothers, Leslie, Milton, Milan, Edward, Merlin, Leland, and Gilbert Krohn; sisters, Laura, Vivian, and Elaine. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
