Lice Seely

lice Seely, age 92, of Staples, passed away at the Lakewood Health System Care Center on Sunday, March 28. A funeral service is planned for Thursday, April 1, at 11:00 AM, at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. The visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Motley Public Cemetery.

Alice was born on November 15, 1917, in Tracy, MN, to David and Cora (Alexander) Smith. She grew up there and graduated from the Eighth Grade. She married Paul Seely and they moved to Staples where Paul worked for the railroad. They had one daughter.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Seely of Browerville; a brother Clem (Eva) Coverston of Fridley; local nieces, Alice (Paul) Delaney, Susan (Doug) Cyrus, and Ann (Joe) Wright; as well as other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; and six brothers.
