Lewis Christopherson, age 81, of Staples, died Monday morning, March 26, 2007, at Lakewood Health System Hospital. Funeral Services are Thursday at 11:00, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Staples with Pastor Michael Picconatto officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 8 at Brenny Funeral Chapel of Staples. Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Funeral Home of Staples. Lewis Charles Christopherson of Staples Minnesota went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 26, 2007. Lewis was born April 6, 1925 to Charles and Ruth (Demman) Christopherson. He attended country school, graduated from Staples High school, and furthered his education at the University of Minnesota before he came back home to farm with his father Charles. He married Evelyn Edin, August 5th 1950. They had four children: Alan, Kent, Curt, and Beth. Lewis enjoyed many years on the family farm where he raised dairy cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens. He enjoyed deer hunting in the fall with family and life-long friends, fishing on the Leaf River, canoeing, snowmobiling, and four wheeling. He held many positions throughout his years. These included the Equity Creamery Board, Thomastown Town Board, A.S.C.S. Board, Thomastown Covenant Church Board, and State Fire Warden. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Audrey Blum.
