Lester F. Proctor was born on August 6, 1918 to Blanche Wagoner and Frank Proctor, and he grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Les served in the Army National Guard and was a Command Sergeant Major in HQ & HQ Det 67th Support BN of Nebraska Army National Guard. He served 35 years in the guards and retired in 1978. Les received the Bronze Star in WW II. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a life time member of the VFW Post 1910 of Staples, Minnesota.

Les meet Lorraine (Bartylla) Cleveland and they married in 1995. They shared nine and a half beautiful years of marriage. They traveled many states in the U.S. They spent their winters in Arizona and lived in Minnesota in the summers. He enjoyed fishing, camping and keeping his cars shiny. He was a volunteer at the Jr. High School in Lincoln, through this he enjoyed his children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Les is survived by his wife, Lorraine; a daughter, Tawny (Fred) Snider; a son, Jim (Mary) Simms; son, Jeff Sklenicka; daughter Jackie (Brian) Brusacoram; daughter, Kimberly (Roger) Braith; daughter, Tammy Lewis; daughter Kathi Newman; son Butch (Brenda) Cleveland; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first and second wives, 1 brother, 2 sisters, 1 daughter and 1 grandchild.
