Leroy Gillson

LeRoy "Jack" Gillson, age 75, of Motley, passed away October 28, 2010, at the Lakewood Health System Hospital. A memorial service will be held at the Motley Free Methodist Church on Monday, November 1, at 12:00 Noon, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager.

Leroy (Jack) John Gillson was born December 21, 1934 in Sherburne, MN to john and Eunice (McNeal) Gillson. He married Darlene George on December 6, 1990 in Virginia City, Nevada. Together they enjoyed creating a variety of woodworking and craft items that they sold through custom orders and flea markets. While living in Oregon, he and Darlene enjoyed train trips back to Minnesota to fish and visit family until they moved back in April, 2006.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene; one son, three daughters, and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Howard and Harold; and sisters Mildred and Myrtle; as well as a special nephew, Bob Gillson.
