Leonard Weber

Leonard Anthony Weber, 87, of Staples, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. Family and friends are invited to gather Monday evening from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Interment will take place at Evergreen Hill Cemetery.

Leonard Anthony Weber was born in Sturgis, South Dakota on February 6th, 1924 to John and Clara (Kissrow) Weber. They lived on a farm in Clough, SD near Union Center, SD. He went to country school through 8th grade and then went to work for neighbors. He spent a year in the Army during WWII in the 95th Chemical Service. He married Theresa Ramona Kusser in 1947 at Immaculate Conception Church in Stephan, SD. They moved to MN in 1962. Leonard liked to work and be busy. He liked farming, gardening and fixing machinery. He enjoyed his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids coming to visit. He belonged to Sacred Heart Church and the American Legion Post No. 70.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Ramona Kusser, of 64 years; five children, Gary (Nancy) Weber of Aldrich, Karen Weber of Coon Rapids, Donna (Gary) Gabler of Eagle Bend, Janice (Tom) Dahl of Carver, Dan (Suzette) Weber of Woodstock, GA; fourteen grandchildren; and 7-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister and brother.
