Leonard Sanoski

January 19, 1947 — December 9, 2018

Leonard Frank Sanoski, 71, of Cushing, was taken to soon in death. He passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 on Fish Trap Lake in Cushing, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Motley. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church Thursday evening from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to Mass on Friday. Interment will follow services at Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. A luncheon will be at the VFW in Randall, MN after the interment at MSVC.

Len was born on January 19, 1947 in Little Falls, MN to Frank and Mary (Koval) Sanoski. He was the fourth of six children. Len enjoyed living his life to the fullest with ice fishing, traveling, hiking, going out on the boat, and cutting wood. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He loved to laugh, smile and enjoy a good EJ. Len was drafted into the United States Army in 1966, serving during the Vietnam War where he served his country until 1967. Len moved to Minneapolis and worked as a mail carrier from 1967-1968. He then began an apprenticeship in the tile trade and did that kind of work until his retirement. Len married Teresa Poser on July 10, 1970.

Len is survived by his wife of 48 years, Terri; son, Michael; daughter, Lori (Mark McLarty); siblings, Elaine (Joe) Schumer, Ed (Judy), Carol Helseth, and Andy Sanoski; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary; and brothers, Bernard and George. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to the Morrison County Dive and Rescue Team (Airboat).
