Leona Mudgett

Leona "Lee" D. Mudgett, 67, of Pillager died on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Lakewood Health System in Staples. Services for Lee will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Baxter at 11:00 AM with Pastor Wayne Erickson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and one hour prior to services on Friday. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager.

Leona was born on October 7, 1943 in Brainerd, Minnesota to Martin and Dorothy (Groshong) Olson Sr. Lee married Harv Mudgett on November 20, 1970 in Sissiton, South Dakota. Lee loved to garden and collect Elvis memorabilia. She was a devoted grandmother and loved every minute that she spent with her grandchildren.

Lee is survived by her husband of 40 years, Harv; children, Lori (Joe) Robben of Staples, Robert (Connie) Mudgett of Pillager, and Boyd Mudgett of Pillager; mother, Dorothy; sisters, Deb Miller of Brainerd, Shirley (Jack) Berry of Deerwood, Brenda Johnson of Brainerd, Bernie (Todd) Pahl of Brainerd; brothers, Jerry (Reenie) Olson of Brainerd, Arnie (Shirley) Olson of Pillager, Marty (Teresa) Olson Jr. of Brainerd, and Gary (Laura) Olson of Brainerd; grandchildren, Josh, Sam, Amber, Kaylee and Gracie; and her dog, Bear. She was preceded in death by her father, Martin; brothers, Dennis and Bill; and sister, Betty.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
