Lee Bergstrom, Sr.

Lee Walter Bergstrom, 69, of Brainerd, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Essentia Health – St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. Services for Lee will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Rev. Gary Brink officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services and to stay for a luncheon to follow at Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room.

Lee was born November 20, 1948 in St. Cloud, MN, the son of Oscar and Lorraine (Zak) Bergstrom. He grew up and was educated in St. Cloud and graduated from St. Cloud Tech in 1967. Two week later, he married Susan Bauerly. Lee began his career at Banker’s Systems in St. Cloud before moving to Maple Grove and dedicating 31 years to Pfizer Pharmaceuticals where he was a sales representative. He retired in 2002 and the couple moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area.

Lee loved to fish and hunt. He also liked carpentry work.

Lee will be missed by his wife, Susan, of Brainerd; daughter, Natalie (Rick) Kaliszewski, of Dayton; son, Lee “Boomer” (Sara) Bergstrom, Jr., of Ottertail; grandsons, Matthew (Gabrielle) Kaliszewski, of Dayton, Michael (Ashley) Kaliszewski, of Dayton and Mason Kaliszewski, of Dayton; and siblings, Robert (Sandie) Bergstrom, of Apple Valley and Gary (Gayle) Bergstrom, of Temple, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lorraine and his sister, Judith Ahlgren.
