Leah (Kerger) Carlson, age 55, of Pequot Lakes passed away Monday, October 19 at her home. She was born to Bud and Mary Lee Kerger on February 13, 1960 in Brainerd, MN. Leah was a graduate of Pequot Lakes High School and married her high school sweetheart, Galen Carlson.
Leah's love for flowers helped her, Galen and business partners to open Ladies Landscaping. After selling the business Leah, was a server at Pestello's, and for the past 5 years Leah and Galen worked and lived in Williston, North Dakota.
Leah and Galen had two children Jory &Jenna. Leah had a love of all
things, but mostly people she opened her heart up to, and that was to almost anyone that was around her. Leah was a mom to many extras along the way and was known best by everyone else as Auntie Leader.
Leah is survived by her husband, Galen; son Jory (Megan), daughter Jenna (Garrett); grandchildren: Kodi, Presley, Jaden, Hailey, Kallie, Jaden, and Dalton; parents, Bud and Mary Lee; brothers, Kraig, and Mike (Del Ria); and sister, Krystal. Leah is also survived by in-laws, Sam, Damon, Merlin, Jill, Allen, Jane, Donald, and Carol; nieces; nephews; many extended family and close friends.She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and mother-in-law and father-in-law.
A celebration of Leah's life will be 11am Saturday, October 24 at Kline Funeral Home in Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to7 pm at Kline Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Jenkins Cemetery, Jenkins. Memorials are preferred to the family.
