Layne Lendtvedt

Layne Steven Lendtvedt was born August 22, 1972, in Windom, MN to Steven and Paulette “Polly” (Sackett) Lendtvedt. He was baptized and confirmed before graduating from Brainerd High School. He worked in Real Estate for a number of years, but he found a niche as an EBay Entrepreneur.

Layne never experienced more joy or greater love than when he welcomed his son, Elijah into the world. Layne was Elijah’s constant protector and cherished the many years they had together to travel and share in each other’s lives. Layne was in awe of the fulfillment Elijah gifted him.

Layne was an independent thinker who had a great interest in music, baseball and travel, and a deep love of the Pacific Ocean. Layne had many friends he enjoyed spending time with, but no one more than his soul-brother, Ed. He relished in the solitude and appreciated the perspective he gained traveling alone and being on the water.

Layne passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Essentia Health – St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 2 PM, to share stories and memories of his life here on earth.

He is survived by his beloved son, Elijah Layne Rock – Lendtvedt; grandmother, MaryAnn Sackett; parents, Polly and Steve; sister, Shanyn Flaten; and partner, Rachel Breun and her children, Benjamin and Tori Tresbesch. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nels and Clara Lendtvedt and Pat Sackett; and his infant sister, Deven Lee Lendtvedt. Memorials are preferred to Frandsen Bank in Baxter for a trust for his son, Elijah Lendtvedt.
