Lawrence Rowe

Lawrence J. Rowe, 83, of Crosslake, passed away at his home on October 11, 2010. Services for Lawrence will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake with Pastor Charles Smith officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services.

Lawrence was born April 7, 1927, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Howard and Genevieve (Nichols) Rowe. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the US Coast Guard and served his country during WWII. In 1951, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Schnobrich. Lawrence worked for over 36 years as a service foreman for the AT & T telephone company. He was a member of the American Legion. Lawrence enjoyed woodworking and boating.

He will be missed by his sons, Larry Rowe, of Burnsville and Gary (Wendy) Rowe, of Farmington; brother, Robert Rowe, of Ocala, FL; and grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Andrew, Megan, and Christina. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane; his daughter-in-law, Pam Rowe; and sister, Lois.
