Lawrence Oaks

Lawrence "Larry" Oaks, age 85, of Backus, MN, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society, Pine River, MN.
Larry was born February 5, 1928 in St. Paul, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Rosella "Freck" (LaBore) Oaks; sons, Doug Oaks (Paula), Tom Oaks (Sarah), Kenny Oaks, Gordy Oaks, Steve Oaks (Norma), Jim Oaks and Larry Oaks (Jenny); daughters, Teresa Trujillo (Gilbert), Bunny Oaks, DJ Quick (Scott) and Karen Birchem (Scott); son-in-law, Marty Frigaard; thirty grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Joni Frigaard; one granddaughter, one grandson; six brothers and one sister.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM on Tuesday, August 13, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Pine River. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM on Monday at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery, rural Pine River.
