Lawrence W. McCarty, age 70, of Backus, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System in Minneapolis. He was born in Ortonville, MN, on March 30, 1948 to James and Lois (Chaney) McCarty.

Memorial services will be held 1:00PM, Saturday August 25, 2018 at Pine Mountain Gospel (the old school) in Backus. Following services a sharing of memories will be 4 PM at the American Legion in Backus.
