LaVonne Lattie

LaVonne Lattie, age 69, of Staples, passed away Saturday evening, December 18, 2010, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 21, at the Assembly of God Church in Staples. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moran Township. Friends may call beginning at 10:00 on Tuesday at the Church.

LaVonne Delores Lattie was born on October 6, 1941, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Freeman) Hallberg. She grew up in Minneapolis and attended school there. Being a homemaker and mother was the joy of her life but she also found time to be a home health aide and a Bluebird and Brownie Scout leader. In 1976 she moved her family to the Staples area where she continued as a home health aide but found time to enjoy crocheting, baking, fishing and collecting dolls, also watching her favorite game shows, The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune . She took great pride in her family and was very active with them. Her door was always open to everyone and was a mom to many neighborhood kids.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Hallberg; brother, Dale Scharver; and beloved dog "Socks". LaVonne will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Ralph Lattie Sr.; her mother, Dorothy (James) Franklin; children, Joe (Connie) Crosno, Rick Crosno, LaWanna Capistrant, Deborah (Jerry) Faulk, Marci Olson, Ralph Lattie Jr., Brenda (Kevin) Lattie, Victoria St. Onge, and Vincent (Trisha) Thiel; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and siblings, Ruth Brooks, Charles Hallberg, Terry Hallberg, Noreen Thiel, and James Allen Scharver.
