Lavada Erickson

Lavada A. Erickson, age 61, of Backus, died Monday, March 25, 2002 at Bethany Good Samaritan Village. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at 2:00 PM at the Nazarene Church in Backus. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Lavada Arlis Erickson was born July 27, 1940 in North Dakota, to David Gramm and Edna (Betz, Gramm) Erickson. She grew up in North Dakota, and moved to Minnesota following her marriage to Ivan Reinhardt. She moved to Backus in 1979 with her second husband, Tom Erickson. She enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing, feeding the hummingbirds, and working in her flower garden.

Lavada Erickson will be deeply missed by her daughter, Kathleen (Brian) Medenwaldt of Brainerd, her mother, Edna Erickson of Backus; her brother, Milo (Sharon) Gramm of ND; her three grandchildren, Justin, Trevor and Leanna Medenwaldt; and her 4 step children, Tammy, Tommy, Toni and Todd.
