Laura Beth Prettyman of Aitkin died unexpectedly at home on March 15, 2013. Our firecracker Laura, born on the 4th of July was 32.
Daughter, sister, devoted Auntie, grand-daughter, niece, cousin, friend, teacher, advisor, lover of books and learning, excellent cook and beautiful quilter.
She will be missed by so many. Mom and Dad, Linda and Terry, brother John (Brandi); nephew, Aiden and niece, Adison; sister, Carla (Bret); sister, Sara; Uncle Larry and Grandma Geneva Prettyman; Uncle Jim and Auntie Rita Carney; Uncle Bruce; Aunt Bonnie; cousins, Shane and Tyler Bertram; and Grandma Vera Bertram. Her quilting group ladies; her book club members; and the Aitkin Area Sauerkraut Crowd will also miss her dearly. Laura's co-workers will never forget her inter-office hy-jinks: Laura's family will always remember her contagious laughter; and love of animals, especially rabbits. She loved her niece, Adison and nephew, Aiden and spent as much time as possible with them doing special projects. These small people took up the biggest space in her heart.
Laura was always thoughtful and kind. She always knew how to brighten the day with her lovely smile. What a girl!
Please join us for a Celebration of Laura's life on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 2:30PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with visitation starting at 1:00PM. Please bring a memory to share. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services.
Laura left a lasting impression on many people. A link in our family chain has been bent, and we will go on loving her always.
