Laura Hand

Laura May Hand, 69, of Brainerd, died September 9, 2012 at Harmony House in Brainerd, MN. Services for Laura will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services.

Laura was born March 17, 1943, in Little Falls, MN, the daughter of Gervis and Frieda (Rohloff) Kohl. After graduating from high school in Brainerd in 1961, Laura worked as a hair stylist. She returned to school and graduated from Hutchinson Area Vocational and Technology Institute. Following her graduation from VoTech, she stayed on to teach Electronics. She also owned and operated Crystal Lizard in Hutchinson and worked at JC Penny's. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and gardening.

She will be missed by her husband, Robert; sons, Robert (Debby) Hand, II, of Brainerd and Anthony (Pamela) Hand, of Silver Lake, MN; sisters, Mary Ann Anslon, of WA, Erme (Sam) Houston, of CA, and Joan (Fred) Snapp, of CA; brother, Roy (Sue) Kohl, of CA; grandchildren, Samantha Latham, Betsy Telesky, Christopher Hand, Katherine Hand, Carly Hand, and Kacie Hand; and two great-grandchildren.
