Laura Eggers

Laura (Franklin) Eggers, 95 of Lakeshore, MN, our angel on earth, became an angel for eternity on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Memorial service for Laura will be at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services and to stay for a reception to follow. Laura was privately interred on her 96th birthday.

Laura entered life on May 21, 1918 in Brainerd, MN. At an early age her family moved to Cloquet, MN where she attended school. She married Joseph Franklin in 1938. They shared the birth of their three children and remained together until 1965. In 1968, Laura married her soul mate; Ken Eggers and they shared a loving, caring relationship for over 46 years. After many moves, they returned to Gull Lake to care for her mom and pop.

Laura is survived by her loving husband Ken; children, Joe "Billy Joe" (Cathy), Karel House, and Kathy (Grant) Klosner; half sisters, Alvina Knapper and Janet Genter; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; sister; son-in-law Dennis House; and two baby grandchildren.
