Larry Roberts

Larry Lee Roberts, 65, of Brainerd, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011, at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was born May 25, 1946 in Brainerd to Chester and Johanna Roberts. He graduated from Washington High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Thailand during Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge, he worked for Data 100, American Totalisator, and Chet's TV & Appliances.

He is survived by his wife Diane (Dixon) Roberts; daughter, Kimberly (Evan) Peck, of Chicago, IL; step-children Kayala Roberts, Scott (Michelle) Phoenix, and Nicole (Steven) Wolff, all of Brainerd; brother, Charles Roberts, of Brainerd; sister, Barbara (Bill) Corner, of Breezy Point; grandchildren, Kyle, Megan, Taylor, Caleb, Kailee, and Avalon; niece and nephews, Todd Corner, Glain Corner, Brian Roberts, & Heather Grimstad and their families; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday October 5, 2011 the Brenny Funeral Chapel, Baxter MN. Interment with Military Honors will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Campy Ripley at 9:30 AM, Thursday, October 6, 2011. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
