Larry Pierce, 51, formally from Oklahoma City, OK, now of Motley, MN, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, he lost his battle with cancer at his home in Motley. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Larry was born to A.J. and Junita (Bowers) Pierce on October 6, 1961 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was joined the Army National Guard and switched to the Air Force National Guard where he learned the cable splicing trade. While in the Guard he did some training in Germany and East Finland. After leaving the Guard he worked as a mechanic, cable splicer and a tree trimmer. He retired as an Independent Contractor in 2012. He loved to read, travel, and worked in many states. He was a good man, a private man. He worked hard and could fix almost everything and had a great smile.
He is survived by mother, Junita Pierce; brother, Rick Pierce; sister, Anita (Glen) Sutton; sons, Larry A. (Cheyenne) Pierce and Larry D. (Shannon) Pierce Jr.; grandchildren, Larry A., Albert, Jenny, Josh, Jordan, Jessica; niece, Ariel Sutton, Christan Shelton, Amy Rodrick; nephew, Kenn (Nicole) Pierce, Garrett Sutton; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, A.J.; sister, Judi Shelton; and grandson, Joseph Pierce.
