Larry Kristoff

Larry Kristoff, age 82, of Pine River, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Essentia St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. He was born December 28, 1937, to Frank and Wilma (Gerich) Kristoff in Manchester, CT.

Larry was married to Shirley Guderjohn (L’heureux) and had 3 children. In 1977 he married Peggy Wichterman (Kristoff) and was married for 40 years. He loved Peggy dearly and missed her every day after her passing. He worked most of his life at bowling alleys but was especially proud of the 9 years he served in the Air Force. He worked at the Minneapolis Post Office and retired in 1992. Larry and Peggy enjoyed over 20 years in the Pequot Lakes area during the summers and Harlingen, TX, for 8 months in the winter. Larry was a member of the Pequot Lakes Legion and Harlingen Elks in Texas.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy; brothers: James, Robert, Bernard, Ronald, Arther; and sisters, Marie and Leona. He is survived by children: Char Chase (Sam), Larry Kristoff, Teresa Mitchell; stepchildren: Gary (Jeanne), Garth, and Grant Wichterman. Larry’s blended family includes 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Richard and Frank Jr.; as well as loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and many long-time friends.

Due to COVID, private family services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, December 5. Burial will take place at Pelican Woods Cemetery, Breezy Point.
