Larry Huckbody, Sr.

Larry A. Huckbody, Sr., age 79, of Pine River, went to be with the Lord after a recent diagnosis of cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his family. Larry was born in Wausau, Wisconsin to Kenneth and Erna (Seehafer) Huckbody. He was one of 7 children. He was proud veteran having served overseas in the U.S. Army.

Larry retired from Potlatch after working there for over 30 years. He enjoyed serving on the Bethlehem Cemetery Board and the many activities at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, rural Backus. Larry loved spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, gardening, reading, traveling, going for long drives, playing with his grandkids, volunteering his time and helping others.

Larry is survived by his wife and best friend, Sandra; children: Shawn Huckbody, Trent Huckbody, Larry Huckbody, Jr., Erica Organista (Lukasz), Shawndel Huckbody; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Lorraine Blanco, Violet Radant, Howard Huckbody, Milton Huckbody, Audrey Krueger and Marion Mussell.

Services will be 2 PM on Friday, March 4, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, rural Backus, with lunch to follow at the Pine River American Legion.
