Larry Hansen

Larry Ivan Hansen, 73, of Staples, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2021 surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2 PM at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples MN. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples and again 1 hour prior to services on Friday.

Larry was born to Ivan and Myrtle (Stowe) Hansen on September 23, 1947 in Bertha, Minnesota. He worked with the 49’s for a few year before beginning his own construction company. Larry worked very hard, but in his free time he enjoyed dancing and watching old western movies. He loved his grandchildren and cherished his time with family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his son Kelly (Wendy) Hansen; daughter Karina Ramsey; stepson Daniel Ward; 3 grandchildren Dylon Hanson, Jayden Hansen, and Aundrea Hansen; two great-grandchildren Marlee Edwards, and Jacob Hanson; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
