Larry Fiksdal

Larry Odell Fiksdal, 65, of East Gull Lake, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully at this home on Monday, July 29, 2013. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 2 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Interment with Military Honors at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.

Larry was born in Webster, SD, the son of Byron Odell and Blanche Fiksdal. On October 4, 1969, he married the love of his life, Molly Fiksdal. They were best friends and shared a beautiful, loving relationship that spanned 43 years. He served honorably in the United States Air Force then worked for Qwest Phone Company for 32 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, traveling, woodcarving, and living on the lake. He was a kind-hearted, genuine, compassionate, and loving man who was always supportive of his family and proud of their accomplishments. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Molly Fiksdal; son, Jason (Valerie) Fiksdal and their children, Selby and Allison; daughter, Nicole Fiksdal, and son, Evan (Nicole) Fiksdal and their children, Brayden, and Owen.
