Lance Plattner

Lance Plattner, 39, of Motley, MN passed away unexpectedly at his home from a dissecting aorta hemorrhage on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Services for Lance will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN. Visitation will be from 4-7PM, Friday, April 7th at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN and one hour prior to services. A luncheon will follow at the Staples Community Center.

Lance was born in Little Falls, MN to Mark and Phyllis (Etzler) Plattner. He attended school in Staples. Lance worked as a mason in Minneapolis and as a welder in Opole, and did mechanic work as well. He was married in 2007 to Amanda Frie. Lance enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, and machining. His favorite past time was tinkering and modifying anything he could get his hands on.

Lance is survived by his parents, Mark and Phyllis Plattner of Staples; grandparents, Darline and Junior Plattner; girlfriend, Leila Cameron of Staples; siblings, Scott (Ida Lombard) of Motley, Michelle (Adam) Boyer of Motley, Ryan (Sammie) of Staples; nieces and nephews, Garret, Tristin, Ashley, Tyler, Blaine, Zander, and Easton; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grampa, Bud Etzler and grandma, June Etzler. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.

Visitation Friday, April 7, from 4-7PM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, and one hour before service at church on Saturday. Luncheon at Staples Community Center following services.
