Kurt Streiff

On September 18, 2019, Kurt Joseph Streiff, our beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Kurt was born on December 13, 1967, to Patricia (O’Connor) Streiff and Peter Streiff and grew up in St. Paul, where he attended St. Mark’s Grade School and Cretin High School.  While in high school, Kurt played baseball, hockey, and football, excelling in all three sports.  He also attended St. Cloud State University, where he was a walk on for the baseball team.  One of Kurt’s greatest passions was umpiring youth baseball in Pequot Lakes and Brainerd.  He truly enjoyed working with the kids, coaching and encouraging them as he umpired.  Kurt had a great sense of humor and a compassionate heart.  He will be dearly missed by all those who loved him.

Kurt is survived by his sisters, Katie (Tom) Brennan of Pequot Lakes, and Karen Streiff of North St. Paul, and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Josh) Barnes,Tricia Brennan, Michael (Lacee) Brennan, Maria Brennan, James Brennan, and Jack Brennan, as well as several great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A mass of Christian burial and a celebration of Kurt’s life will take place at 11:00 AM on September 18, 2020, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Paul with burial at Resurrection Cemetery following the service.  Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
