Kurt E. Anderson, age 65 of Crosslake, Minnesota, died Sunday, November 24, 2002 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at Crosslake Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. The family requests any memorials to be directed to St. Joseph?s Hospice or the Crosslake Lutheran Church.
Kurt E. Anderson was born June 23, 1937 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Carl E. and Esther (Risberg) Anderson. He graduated from Forest Lake High School in St. Paul, MN. Following high school he began working for the Minnesota Highway Department. He was united in marriage to Patricia Israel. They were married August 16, 1958 in Isanti, Minnesota. In 1968 he became an insurance agent with MSI, where he continued to work until his health no longer allowed. Kurt and Patricia moved to Crosslake in 1972. Kurt was a member of Crosslake Lutheran Church where he was the Vice President of the Church Council, former Mayor of Crosslake for six years, council member, member of the telephone commission, charter member of Crosslake-Ideal Lions Club and assistant chief of the Crosslake Fire Department. In his spare time he enjoyed breeding cats and admiring old cars. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him including;
