Kraig Kruse

Kraig Lewis Kruse passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 56 at Lakewood Care Center in Staples, MN.

He was born at St. John’s Hospital in Browerville, MN on July 23, 1967. After graduating high school, he went on to own and operate Kruse Dairy Farm until 2020. Kraig was also an active member is several agricultural associations serving as president of the Nelson Creamery Board of Directors, as well as the President of Todd County’s Chapter of the American Dairy Association.

In his free time, Kraig enjoyed playing volleyball, shopping on QVC and HSN, or watching the game show network. If you knew Kraig, he’d make sure to give you a nickname and tell you all about his love of New Holland tractors. He was a kind and generous person who wouldn’t hesitate to give you the shirt off his own back.

Kraig is survived by his life partner, Teresa “Cheeks” Christensen, his three sons Willie (Sam) Kruse, Lewie (Ashley) Kruse, and Ray Kruse, Teresa’s son Josiah (Olivia) Cole, his grandchildren Elliot (Tuffy), Ava (Half-Pint), and Addie (Spirit), his mother, Donna Kruse, his seven siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
