Kimberly Kay Braith, age 53, of Staples, passed away on Sunday, October 9th. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 13, at 2:00 P.M. at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Sveom officiating. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, from 5-7 P.M. at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples Minnesota.

Kim was born on February 14,1958 to Deanna Peterson in Wadena Minnesota. In 1978, she married Roger Braith. Kim worked at Lakewood Health Systems for four years as a clerk in the Medical Marketplace. Kim was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and she loved flowers, sewing, music, (especially playing the drums in band) and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Roger, mother, Deanna Peterson-Reistino, step-mother, Lorraine Proctor, two children, Peter (Erikkah Skog) of Onamia, Minnesota and Missy (Nick) Vogt of Staples, brothers, Jerry Cleveland of Bemidji, Keith Card of St. Cloud, Butch (Brenda) Cleveland of Staples, step-brother, Jeff Sklenicka of St. Cloud, three sisters, Rita (Jon) Folson of San Diego, California, Tammy Lewis of Staples, Kathi Newman of Staples, and step-sister, Jackie Brusacoram of Chisholm, Minnesota, three grandchildren, Hunter Vogt, Amanda Eagle and Cayden Eagle, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Kim was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Cleveland, step-fathers, Phil Reistino and Les Proctor, and her niece, Venessa Cleveland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to The American Cancer Society.
