Kenneth Wotczak, 75, of Baxter, MN, died Friday, December 18, 2015, at Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM, Monday, December 21, 2015 at All Saint's Catholic Church in Brainerd, MN, with Father Tony Wroblewski officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at 10:00AM at the church. Interment will be at Baxter City Cemetery in Baxter, MN.

Ken was born in Duluth, MN, on February 7, 1940, to Theodore and Beatrice (Provost) Wotczak. He spent his childhood in Duluth, and graduated from Duluth Denfield High School in 1958. He attended Marquette University in Milwaukee and graduated in 1962, with a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering. Ken was privileged to be employed by two outstanding high technology companies in the Twin Cities; Control Data and Datacard. Ken retired in 2001, after being employed by Datacard for 25 years, where he served as manufacturing engineering manager and quality manager. His retirement was in the lakes area where he enjoyed fishing, along with the solitude and beauty of the area. Ken was very proud of his civic and church involvement. He served the City of Cologne on the planning commission and as a city council member. He had much involvement with the church activities for over 50 years, being an alter boy, Eucharistic Minister, religious education teacher, lector, usher, and participant on special committees. Ken met his wife, Joanne in 1963, and they have been happily married for over 50 years.

Ken is survived by his wife, Joanne; children, Connie (Jim) Gray of Waconia, MN, Cris (Dave) Beltman of Blaine, MN, Carol (Chris) Amundson of Waconia, MN, Sue (Joe) Cieminski of Richfield, MN, Julie (Rose Lorsung) Wotczak of Eagan, MN, John (Meghan) Wotczak of Savage, MN; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Dick (Mickey) Wotczak of Brooklyn, NY, Eileen (Don) Bergman of Duluth, MN, Mary Patton of Victoria, MN; sister - in- law, Yvonne Wotczak; brother- in- law, Jim Charbonneau. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Beatrice Wotczak; brother, William Wotczak; sister, Jean Charbonneau. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
