Kenneth J. Wahl, 93, of Crosslake died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Crosby Care Center in Crosby, MN. Funeral Services for Kenneth will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00AM at Crosslake Lutheran Church in Crosslake, MN with Pastor Greg Larsen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Pinewood Cemetery.
Kenneth was born on April 28, 1920in Ellendale, North Dakota to Charles and Maude Wahl. He served in the United States Army serving in World War II. Kenneth worked for Elk River Power Company where he helped build the power lines through North Dakota. He retired to the Crosslake area where he was a resident until his death. Kenneth was a member of the Crosslake Lutheran Church and the Elk River American Legion. He enjoyed flying, nice cars, and model cars. Kenneth also liked John Deere tractors. Kenneth loved his home on Rush Lake and his dog, Annie.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Eileen; son, Keith Wahl of Ideal Corners, MN; step-daughter, Marty (Jim) Vangen of Crosslake, MN; step-son, Cliff Wiebke of Crosslake, MN; grandchildren, Kristopher, Kelly, and Katy; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ardice; sisters, Jenny and Francis; and brothers, Lyle and Ted.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.
