Kenneth Strack

April 15, 1938 — January 22, 2022

Kenneth (Ken/Kenny) Joseph Strack, went to be with his Lord Jesus on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Ken was born in April, 1938, to Alphonse and Rose (Lommel) Strack, in Rockville, MN. He was a 1956 graduate of Cathedral High School. On June 6th, 1959, he married his high school sweetheart, Lou Ann (Lardy) Strack at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Ken served with the U.S. Naval Reserves and was a proud member of the Twin Cities Bricklayers Union retiring in 1998. He was a St. Cloud area resident most of his life. Ken was an active member of the St. Joseph and St. Michael’s Catholic Churches.

In addition to playing music most of his life, Ken enjoyed many years of fishing and hunting especially when sharing this with his children and grandchildren; he was a huge Minnesota sports fan. After his retirement, Ken and his family enjoyed 15 years at their lake home on Blackhoof Lake in Ironton, MN. Ken was a loving and kind person with a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all of us.

Survivors include his wife and two daughters, Michelle (Strack) Kerber and Mary Kaye (Strack) Peterson, grandchildren; Drew Kerber, Christian Kerber, Kara (Peterson) Henderson (Tim), Holly (Peterson) Frischmon (Andrew), sisters; Bernelda (Strack) Voigt and Darlene (Strack) Lauermann; many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel Strack (2018), Mother and Father-in-law; Daniel and Alma Lardy, and other relatives and friends.

The Strack family would like to express deepest appreciation for the love and great care provided to Ken by the nurses, doctors, and hospital staff at the St. Cloud Hospital - especially the 4–South Surgical Progressive Unit.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
