Kenneth "Kenny" Jones, 58, of Nisswa, died at his home Thursday, May 11, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services for Kenny will be 11 AM, Monday, May 15 at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa with Pastor Chris Meier officiating. There will be a visitation Sunday evening from 4 until 6 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Interment at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Kenny was born June 8, 1947 in Columbus, OH to Richard and Mary (Combs) Jones. He graduated high school in Columbus before entering the Army. Kenny served in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge, he worked in Columbus for a while before moving to Kissimmee, FL. He was united in marriage to Linda Tull September 28, 1972 in Conway, SC. The couple moved to Nisswa in 1973. During his time in the Brainerd Lakes area, Kenny worked for Plywood Minnesota and Floor to Ceiling as a flooring installer for many years and then as a salesman.

Kenny was active in the Nisswa American Legion, Rod City Rodders, and the Lutheran Church of the Cross. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, golf and classic cars. Kenny loved spending time with his family and friends.

Kenny will be missed by his wife, Linda; his daughters, Shawna (Jim) Cruikshank, of Pine River; Michelle (Wayne) Hanson, of Nisswa; his son, Rich (Jessica) Jones, of Parker, CO; his grandchildren, Cody, Brandon, Bobbi, Cabe, Courtney, Cassidy, and Lily; his step-father, Cline Raffel, of Lillian, AL; his brother, Jim Woodruff, of OH; his sister, Saundra McKahan, of OH; and his father-in-law, Dick Tull, of Brainerd. He was preceded in death by his parents
