Kenneth Allen

Kenneth Allen, 49, of Brainerd, died Friday, April 19, 2013 at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Light of the Cross Lutheran Church in Garrison with Pastor Chris Hill officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will take place in Dykeman Union Cemetery.

Kenneth was born September 25, 1963, in Brainerd, the son of Dean and Averill (Krueger) Allen. Following high school, Kenneth worked as a carpenter for many years before cancer forced an early retirement. Kenneth enjoyed spending time outdoors - hunting, fishing, snowmobiling or riding motorcycles. He also was a woodworker and liked making canes.

He will be missed by his mom, Averil; his special friend, Anna; special children, Alvina, Timothy, and Andy; special grandchildren; and many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father.
