Kathleen Heishman

Kathleen R. Heishman, 79, of Baxter, MN died on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Crefree Living in Brainerd, MN. A Memorial Service for Kathleen will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 2:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.

Kathleen was born on September 1, 1936 in Eveleth, MN to Albert and Elna (Soder) Johnson. She graduated from Eveleth High School and graduated in 1954. Kathleen married William Heishman on August 2, 1969. She was an elementary teacher at Hinkley Elementary, Lowell Elementary, and Montour Elementary in Iowa. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Legion Auxiliary, and Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter, MN where she enjoyed being apart of the Lord of Life Quilters Club. Kathleen enjoyed sewing and embroidery. She also loved her rabbit collection.

Kathleen is survived by her nieces, Kristy Johnson, Heidi Hill, and Kelly Johnson; nephew, Kurt Johnson; step children, Debra (Doug) Wonders, Mark Heishman, and Cindy Quam; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; and brother, Kenneth. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
